Safety Tips for the Holiday Decorations

Happy Holidays! During this Holiday Season we wanted to share some useful tips on safety and fire prevention. As insurance professionals, when we think of holiday decorations we can’t help but to think about the terrible peril of FIRE 🙁

Fire Facts – December & January

As pointed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), every year fire departments around the country have to respond to fires caused by christmas trees, holiday decorations, candles, fireworks and even our holiday cooking. These are devastating and unfortunate events that inspire us to share fire safety information to help increase awareness and serve as a reminder of measures we can take to prevent and be safe. At the end of the day it could happen to anyone but we really wished it wouldn’t happen to anybody.

Put a Freeze on Winter Fires

We really appreciate the NFPA campaign with the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) called “Put a Freeze on Winter Holiday”. It contains relevant and precise information about  fire prevention and some facts and statistics to be noticed. You can check it out here:

Winter Holiday Fire Safety Flyer

The USFA has fire prevention materials that are very helpful, especially when it comes to holiday, candle and christmas tree fire safety, among other subjects.  The information below is worth a review and we endorse it with our logo as it adds value to its readers.

As we do in business, we want to encourage you all to protect yourselves, prevent known hazards like fires, and be prepared and educated especially during this holiday season. We really believe that with life’s uncertainties, we should protect ourselves and be proactive about perils we can prevent. This is a good time to review your Homeowners Insurance policy and make sure your hard earned assets are well protected. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
